Restoring Our Watershed
Restoring Our Watershed is an NGO focused primarily on afforestation, reforestation, and agro-forestry projects within the Rio Nandamojo watershed in Guanacaste. The watershed encompasses 29,000 acres, from the community of 27 de abril to Playa Junquillal, where the Nandamojo empties into the sea.
ROW has done outstanding work with both student groups and local landowners to implement these projects. ALAP is seeking university partners to develop a carbon capture capacity study for vetiver, and to expand afforestation/reforestation initiatives in the Nandamojo watershed.
